Ford F-Series Ecoboost Making Noise

Ford announced that sales of the F-series truck is up 8% from last year, despite the unsure economy.  The economy has, however, brought on high gas prices, forcing improvements in the efficiency of the F-series Ford truck.

Ecoboost is part of that efficiency train.  The Ford Ecoboost is the name for the turbocharged engine that will be used in the F-series pickups.  Supposedly, the turbo motor allows the F-150 Ecoboost an 11,300 lb tow rating — the top of its class.  The carrying capacity of the Ford Ecoboost is over 3,000 lbs of cargo.

Ford has been seeing great success with the Ecoboost already.  Doubled sales projections have been witnessed, despite the $750 price premium over the 5.0-liter V-8 engine.
